Amphenol strengthens its presence in the defense sector with a huge deal

On August 18, 2025, Amphenol announced its acquisition of cable assembly company Trexon for approximately $1 billion in cash. This acquisition aims to strengthen its presence in the defense market by offering reliable, high-quality products, such as wires, cables, and connectors used in the military, medical, and quantum computing sectors. Trexon is expected to generate revenue of $290 million in 2025, with an operating profit margin (EBITDA) of 26%. The company also expects the transaction to be conducive to earnings per share in the first year following closing, which is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2025.
